A. We will not make contact with them

Q. If I complete the questionnaire will I have to pay a fee ?

A. No. The questionnaire is to enable us to look at what steps are necessary in the search, based on the information you have available at the beginning

Q. How much will a search cost ?

A. As every case is different, it is not possible to put an accurate figure on the total cost of a search. For this reason we prefer to charge on a stage-by-stage basis. This allows you to determine the pace of the search and at the same time allows you to control the budget to suit your own circumstances.

Many searches are completed within a £100-£150 GBP budget whilst other more complicated searches, for example, if someone has emigrated, the costs will be more. The price is often determined to a great extent on how many certificates we may have to obtain to identify the correct person (usually determined by the person's surname). We will always contact you beforehand if it appears that it could be lengthy search.

To commence a search we require an initial budget of between £50-£100 GBP

Q. How CAN I PAY ANY FEES?

• By credit or debit card on-line (a reference will be required to enter the secure area, we will provide      this in our reply to your enquiry)
• By Sterling Bank Draft or Sterling Cheque (payable to Missing Links)

Q. Do you supply me with the certificates you purchase ?

A. We will forward all certificates that relate to your search. Sometimes a certificate will not relate to your search, but to someone else with the same name. In these cases we will inform you of why the certificate does not relate to your search. We are authorised by the General Registrar's Office and have to undertake to destroy any non-relating certificates to prevent possible fraudulent use.
